What’s proposed
Proposal to construct a workshop room at the back courtyard of 2/4A Duggan St, Brunswick West. The room will measure 10m2 in size and according to Aaron's Outdoors does not need a Council approval based on its size (please refer attached supporting document from the Victorian Building Authority which was given by Aaron's Outdoors to assist in the approval). I have also attached a drawing of the current structure of our courtyard, a photo of the structure to be built and an additional letter for further explanation on this request. Our body corporate has asked us to get a Council approval as there may be a mandated outdoor space that we need to comply with in our courtyard. Also, if the structural capacity of the courtyard needs to be considered in the approval, may we ask the structural information of our courtyard/townhouse structure be checked from the Council records as we were advised by our body corporate that they don't have this information and it could be provided by the Council. If there is a fee for this information to be released, we are requesting for it to extracted (if needed to assist in the approval), and please advise us how much we need to pay. The workshop room will weigh at most 1,000 kgs as advised by Aaron's Outdoors.
