To support or object to this development application, write to Douglas council. Depending on the state, councils call this a submission, an objection or a representation.
Check it’s open for comment. Each council sets its own deadline, and some development applications aren’t advertised for comment at all.
Write to the council. Quote the reference MCUI 2014_129 and the address. Say what you support or object to, why, and how it affects you.
Keep to planning matters, such as height, overshadowing, privacy, noise, traffic, trees and heritage.
Expect it to be public. Many councils publish submissions, sometimes with names. Check the council’s privacy notice before you send yours.
Comments on this page are notes for neighbours. They aren’t sent to the council and don’t count as a submission. Get the next one near here by email so you hear about it while there’s still time to respond.
