What’s proposed
Remove two (2) Ficus microcarpa var. 'Hillii' (Hills Weeping Fig) and one (1) Cotoneaster glaucophyllus (Cotoneaster) from the backyard on the rear boundary and replace with three (3) small-sized local native trees from Council’s Development Control Plan 2022, Annexure B3-2 Tree Canopy Replacement Planting List, of minimum 45L pot size, anywhere on the property, within one (1) month of removal. Cotoneaster: This is a widely regarded significant environmental and priority weed in New South Wales. It has low landscape and retention value. Figs: These small trees have escaped from their plastic pots, their roots have anchored in the garden bed. Their root structure has been compromised by the restriction of the pots, they have insufficient space to mature and the potential to reach massive proportions.
