Proposed development
PLN26/0961

What’s proposed

Part of the external wall of 75 Rupert is shearing significantly and our Tenants have advised there are big cracks in the wall and they are concerned that it might collapse. This subject wall faces into 81-89 Rupert St (a vacant block owned by developers - their building was demolished back in 2021) . We have obtained independent advice as to how we can resolve this and now wish to urgently have our external section of the wall hand demolished and rebuilt with new footings etc adhering to the geotechnical, structural engineer and architects plans / recommendations. The roof will be propped accordingly and we will require access to our external wall accessing about 2m off the wall of our neighbours property which we are currently also trying to negotiate/get consent for access from them. We are hoping Council can assist by helping us with a quick turnaround on our request so we can get started ASAP to avoid possibe danger to our tenants
