What’s proposed

I am seeking approval to remove a mature tree located within the front yard of my property. Over time, the tree's extensive root system has caused significant damage to the adjoining driveway, resulting in cracking, lifting, and uneven surfaces that present both safety and maintenance concerns. In addition, the roots are believed to be impacting the property's foundations, with evidence of ground movement and structural effects in close proximity to the dwelling. The ongoing growth of the tree and its root system is expected to further exacerbate the existing damage, potentially leading to increased repair costs and safety risks. Removal of the tree is considered the most practical long-term solution to prevent further deterioration of the driveway and protect the structural integrity of the property. I am committed to ensuring that all works are carried out by qualified professionals and in accordance with any conditions imposed as part of the permit approval process. I respectfully request that Council consider this application and grant permission for the removal of the tree due to the demonstrated impacts on both the driveway and the property's foundations.
