Proposed development
TPO-189/2026

What’s proposed

Remove two (2) Chrysalidocarpus lutescens syn. Dypsis lutescens (Golden Cane Palm) and three (3) Howea fosteriana (Kentia Palm) from the backyard, against the rear facade of the house and the neighbours fence and replace with two (2) small-sized local native tree/s from Council’s Development Control Plan 2022, Annexure B3-2 Tree Canopy Replacement Planting List, of minimum 45L pot size, anywhere on the property, within one (1) month of removal. Golden Cane: This Palm cluster has outgrown the small garden area; stems are impacting the roofline and have fallen onto the paved area. It has become unsuitable for the space. Kentia: This small Palm is impacting the boundary fence, this damage will only worsen as the Palm matures.

Submissions

Have your say

To support or object to this development application, write to Waverley council. Depending on the state, councils call this a submission, an objection or a representation.

  1. Check it’s open for comment. Each council sets its own deadline, and some development applications aren’t advertised for comment at all.
  2. Read the plans. They’re usually on the council’s page for this application (opens in a new tab).
  3. Write to the council. Quote the reference TPO-189/2026 and the address. Say what you support or object to, why, and how it affects you.
  4. Keep to planning matters, such as height, overshadowing, privacy, noise, traffic, trees and heritage.
  5. Expect it to be public. Many councils publish submissions, sometimes with names. Check the council’s privacy notice before you send yours.

Comments on this page are notes for neighbours. They aren’t sent to the council and don’t count as a submission. Get the next one near here by email so you hear about it while there’s still time to respond.
